Newsweek magazine, in turnover of 80 years in the U.S., it will not appear on print version.
Its last edition will be one of the 31 December this year, reflecting a new trend of magazines and newspapers to pass only online advertising because they have fallen.
Newsweek merged with the online Daily Beast news group two years ago.
Founder of the Daily Beast, Tina Brown, said the site now has more than 15 million unique visitors per month, an increase of 70 percent compared with a year ago.
Newsweek became the second largest weekly magazine in the U.S., after TIME.
But the decline in circulation and advertising made it plunged into loss.
