Reduce aircraft, Russia asks Turkey explanations

Moscow reacted harshly to the Turkish authorities, the obligation "illegal" during Wednesday reduction of a civil aircraft flying at Syria.

Turkish military fighter forced civil aircraft with 35 passengers to carry out a forced landing at an airport near Ankara, after allegedly on board the aircraft were being shipped weapons.

Turkish official sources clarified that the detailed inspection of the aircraft, which then was allowed to continue his way, showed that in fact there was "an illegal shipment", but without specifying its content.

However, Russia and Syria have rejected these claims, Damascus accused Turkey of "piracy" and a violation of international law.

"Turkey's actions put at risk the lives and safety of passengers, among whom were 18 Russian citizens. Moscow is located in the search for explanations to justify the move to Turkish authorities, "said Thursday Kremlin spokesman Alexander Lukashevich.

Despite Russian pressure, in a parallel statement, Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Devutoglu, said the investigation will continue for carrying loads jets to Syria, to fly over Turkish territorial air.
