Antarctica, giant ice"wave"!

Looks like a tsunami, but it is actually an "ice wave" 15 meters high. That brings us physicist Tony Travouillon, who was in Antarctica, specifically in Dumont D'Urville when photographed.
His pictures do the lap of the world via the Internet and are admired by all. According to "Daily Mail", many people believe that it was a tsunami which froze but Travouillon physician says that in reality, it is a natural phenomenon in which created a massive ice blue.

"Towers" blue ice created when crushed pieces of ice and air bubbles trapped, released and out. On the other hand, scientist Larry Gedney explained that during the summer, surface melting ice and new ice layers tend to go above.
The ice has a characteristic blue color, as when sunlight penetrates the thick layers of ice, blue back and red absorbed. If air bubbles would not be printed, the light will penetrate and ice would look white.
